Health & safety guidelines

Health & Safety

Your safety and wellbeing are the highest priority in all yoga and handbalancing classes offered through this website. By booking or attending a class, you acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily and take full responsibility for your own body, choices, and practice.

Medical conditions and suitability

- You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in yoga and handbalancing activities.

- If you are pregnant, have recently given birth, or have any injuries, pain, medical conditions, or ongoing treatments, you must consult your doctor or healthcare provider before joining a class and follow their advice.

- Please inform the teacher, in confidence, of any relevant health conditions before class so that appropriate options and modifications can be offered.

Safe practice and personal responsibility

- You agree to listen to your body, move mindfully, and practice within your current limits, avoiding any movement that causes pain, dizziness, or sharp discomfort.

- In handbalancing and other demanding practices, you are responsible for choosing appropriate progressions and using walls, props, or spotting only as clearly instructed. Never attempt unfamiliar or advanced movements without feeling stable and confident in the preparatory exercises.

- You may rest or stop at any time. If you feel unwell or experience significant pain, you must stop immediately and, if needed, seek medical advice.

Environment, equipment, and online classes

- Please ensure you practice in a clear, safe space, free from obstacles, with sufficient light, ventilation, and room to move, especially for inversions and handbalancing.

- Use a stable, non‑slip mat and any additional props in good condition; arrange your practice area so that falls, slips, or loss of balance are less likely to cause injury or damage.

- For online or recorded classes, you are fully responsible for assessing the safety of your practice space and for adjusting or skipping movements if you do not feel adequately supervised or supported.

Instructor role and limitations

- All instructions are offered as general guidance and education, not as medical advice or treatment. The teacher does not diagnose conditions, offer medical care, or replace the advice of healthcare professionals.

- While every effort is made to offer safe sequencing, clear alignment cues, and options for different levels, the teacher cannot monitor each student’s body in detail at all times, especially in online settings.

- By participating, you agree to follow instructions to the best of your ability and to communicate honestly if something does not feel safe or clear.

Assumption of risk and liability

- As with any physical activity, yoga and handbalancing carry inherent risks, including the risk of personal injury or aggravation of existing conditions. By joining classes, you understand and accept these risks.

- To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the teacher nor the business is liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in classes, whether in person or online, where you have chosen to take part of your own free will.

If you have any questions about this Health & Safety information, or about whether a class is suitable for you, please contact the teacher before participating.
